We aren’t huge fans of subtanks. They are big, need expensive disposable coils and lots of power to get the vape performance you need to get out of them to be enjoyable. But every now and then a company comes out with something worth a second look. Our friends over at BuyBest sent us this example from Ample Vape and when we saw the innovative coil design we had to check it out.
This is a serious hit of nostalgia for us and many other long time vapers for sure. Many us started out on a Nautilus tank, they were the go to and still are for many new vapers. And for good reason, Aspire BVC coils are pretty magical and have awesome life spans.
We don’t review SubTanks all to often for a couple reasons, usually the flavour isn’t nearly as good as rebuildable attys and the cost and longevity of the disposable coils turns us off. But now and again there is a SubTank that is just too good to ignore. The FreeMax FireLuke Mesh is one for sure…

Aspire has owed the starter market for years with their Nautilus series tanks. Finally there is a true contender in the Nicolas MTL Tank by Vapefly. But be as good if not better, is it enough to topple the vape giant?
