Our friends are launching their new product offering this weekend at Vape Fest in the UK. The Trillium SubTank, finally a subtank with a high end appearance and finish that will look great on you nicer gear for those lazy days when you don’t want to build.
The lines are clean and simple. The AFC has that familiar dimpled appearance that we see on the SnapDragon RDA and Rose3 RTA. The top is a harder edge than both it’s predecessors, but there is a ring that pulls off to expose the top/side fill slot. The threads inside will take a large array of coils, anything that is Atlantis sized (meaning there are a ton of options). The installed coil threads to both top and bottom of the tank and this press fits the glass section. The entire tank is made in the UK, our only issue is the glass section isn’t a perfect flush fit, it doesn’t leak or cause any issue, if just isn’t perfect. And to keep cost down, you don’t get spare glass (spares sold separately for a couple bucks) or fancy packaging, but you do get a great looking tank.
Flavour is what you make it. Comes down to coil choice, and the wattage you put through it. Because there is so much option it really can appeal to a wide audience. We have found that the new EVO edition of Aspire Atlantis 0.4ohm & Atlantis 0.3ohm coils are good. Eleaf Melo 2 0.3ohm coils aren’t half bad either. There are some ceramic Vaporesso coils that could be good to but we haven’t tried them yet.
The AFC can be quite open or closed down. We like a more restricted hit, and find that about 1/3 open is a sweet spot for us. Again it’s up to you, lots of versatility here to play with. There is a nice swooshy quality and it’s reasonably quiet.
Juice Capacity is okay. Let’s remember Eden Mods is in the UK so TPD is an issue. For 2ml it’s a super fast fill and a full tank last at least a couple hours. So really nothing to get too bothered by.
It’s about time. Eden Mods has filled a niche that has been missing in the atty/tank space. A SubTank that looks high end and supports a wide variety of coils. Such a simple idea, done so well. For the price we think it’s a steal, feeling much more expensive than the cost you will be charged. It’s a tad tall, the bottom section of the tank is a lot of metal, but there is the TPD and the solid feel it gives. In the end it’s the SubTank of SubTanks in our opinion. They should be available for sale online this week, we suggest you get yours.
Can this be used with Nautilus coils? I’m considering it if it can be a decent MTL setup.
Hey Luke,
It can’t, but there are some coils that can be found with a decently tight draw. It isn’t a full on MTL tank in the end though.
Try picking up the Aspire Triton 1.8ohm coils for MTL. They’re actually really good and fit in here without issue.
Hey, i like this Site and the style of testing Products with its rating system. But compared to real good falvor Attys (like the top notch in its Catagory) with really quite and swoshy Airflow ( like for example a Le Zephyr or Kayfun5) – how can this be 10/10 in both cases? Just curious, because i have all that Attys and Trillium is a nice and good rady to go atty… but never ever 10/10 in Airflow (flavor ist a bit subjecitve). Just my 2 cent. Keep up the good work. I rly like flavorchasers! 🙂
