Well, this collaboration between Suprimo & Sigelei is producing some pretty sexy products. We kept our eye out for the 213 to be released, we were hesitant to post a buzz article based on Sigelei’s track record for rather mediocre mods. Well we should have! The Sigelei 213 is a killer Mod that performs extremely well while feeling great in the hand and looking pretty dope while it’s at it.
At first glance the 213 looks like it should cost a lot of money. It’s got a unique look with interesting screen and button placements surrounded by either gold or gun metal accents finished in a carbon fiber/aluminium body. The size is outstanding, not much bigger than the width and height of two 18650 batteries. The weight is just enough to feel substantial without being considered heavy. It feels solid, no rattles, nice clicky buttons all placed within perfect reach, and a super bright screen with more info than any other mod to date. We will go on, but we think you are getting the picture.
All the mandatory needs are there, great 510, great battery life, accurate, powerful, tons of temp control options (if that’s your thing), really there is nothing that hasn’t been considered or addressed. One of the coolest differentiators is the Preheat Power Adjustment, think of this as the soft, standard, powerful, and powerful+ feature of the Yihi SX chipsets but with the ability to customize it to your own taste. If you are into claptons or any other coils that have a ramp up time, you can compensate perfectly around it with this feature. But it’s great for regular builds too, sometimes a juice/build/atty likes a ramp up or a ramp down, you can do what ever you like. That’s the thing, you can set the the wattage (higher or lower) and time (0.1-9.99 secs) for how long it activates so it’s more than just a preheat function, it can act as a ramp up or down that can make a big difference on your vape. It’s a big deal, and we hope to see this feature in more mods (yeah it’s in the DNA200s but only in temp control).
Fit & finish is good, really good, but could still be better. We noticed some very minor scuffs on the carbon fiber surfaces and a very light/small scratch below our fire button, nothing to get super upset about, but it was brand new right out of the box (it might have just been our unit).
The buttons are super clicky, almost too clicky, responsive but there is just something about the travel that we wish was a little better, it’s hard to describe and maybe we are just being too picky. The only thing that we would like to see is the ability to change the adjustment increments, 0.1 is just too small and the scroll is very fast, so you find yourself clicking more than necessary when making adjustments.
The display is killer bright and crisp and the info it displays is another game changer. Having a live battery meter for the overall level and each individual battery is something you get spoiled with quickly. It great for monitoring you battery cell health and the mod’s battery balancing abilities. Displaying the Amps is another great idea, really allows you to monitor your battery limits and safety. These are big features that need to be on more mods!
The menu system works well and there is no crazy menu diving to get to the settings you need. There are 5 memory banks for both the TCRs and TFRs. There is also presets for SS (304, 316, & 317), Titanium (Ti1), and Nickel (Ni200). We haven’t played with temp control that much, it’s not really our thing, but we have heard good things and if we get into it we will be sure to provide an update.
Battery life has been impressive, maybe it’s just us using Lipos in DNA200 devices, but a solid 8-9 hrs vaping 50W+ is good in our books. Charging is a quick procedure thanks to the onboard 2amp charger, and it seems to balance just fine. We still prefer external chargers, and the battery door works flawlessly, no issues of any sort.
The Sigelei 213 is a great Mod, buy it without a single ounce of doubt. It comes down to if you like the way it looks and where the fire button is located (we find it’s great, but some might find it high or want the 510 on the same side as the button). We are super impressed, this is a major leap forward for Sigelei and it has to be thanks to Suprimo and their very detailed and well thought out design capabilities. Our 213 will be staying in our collection and for as low as $80 it should be in yours too.
I can’t seem to find how to changes the resistance. It’s keeps saying low resistance when I have the atomizer attached I can get to the screen that says set resistance but no further. Can someone plz help me?
Thank u,
Very Frustrated
Hey April,
It sounds like you are having trouble with your build or coil. Have you tried a different atomizer? Try this and see what happens.
