We were excited to see the pics of the Supreme when it was announced, to us this is the Aromamizer v2, it takes all the good from the original and adds new features (proper AFC, Top Fill, more Juice Capacity, larger Deck, etc..) and just looks more sophisticated. Then we saw the size, this trend of 25mm diameter tanks is something we have reservations about. Who are they for? How will they look on Mods? How will they perform? Let’s find out…
It’s a great looking tank, the fit and finish is pretty good, all the new features work pretty well, but there is something about this tank that’s not for us. There is nothing really wrong with it, it’s just the style of vape it delivers isn’t for us.
We’re about flavour first and the quality of vape on this tank is just way too over the top for us. Essentially this is a hybrid between Cloudchasing and Flavourchasing. The Supreme does best with Claptons or thick gage builds. This means you need plenty of power and it also means much warmer vapor. On top of this, the Airflow is immense, it’s so open you would need massive lungs to overpower it. There is something too aggressive about this style of vaping, it’s like the difference between sipping on a fine micro brew vs. shotgunning a can of Miller light.
Flavour is good, as long as you have a build that can produce the vapor volume need to fill the larger vapor chamber (it’s 25mm, everything is larger). The heat is a little much, and we think it stifles the more delicate nuances of some juice profiles. But for the cloud chucker, it better than average flavour for sure.
The Vapor production is insane and is to be expected with the ability to shove in large claptons with tons of airflow. The deck can easily fit 3mm Fused Claptons, you may even be able to fit 3.5mm. It’s an easy build, the velocity deck functions perfectly.
The AFC is an interesting design, the stepped approach is great in theory but doesn’t function very accurately. We found that there is little to no difference between the large and middle steps. So really there is full open and a very slight restricted draw. Even with just a sliver open it’s still a pretty open draw. It has to be the massive size of the airflow channels. A gripe for us more OCD vapers, there is quite a bit of Condensation build up in the AFC, it steps get filled with juice over time making it messy. We like our kit clean.
Wicking is down right awesome, not once did we have a dry hit, even running the fused claptons at 0.2Ohms & 90W. The Juice flow control is also pretty amazing with 6 settings, with high vg juice we never went below the last two settings. We did notice some trouble adjusting the Juice flow control when the tank is hot, you will need to let it cool down a bit before it will get easier to work with. Wicking this atty is exactly the same as the first Aromamizer RDTA, just set your wick leads sitting on the bottom of the deck.
Top fill is awesome, it’s gigantic, you can literally pour in juice straight from the bottle. No more droppers, syringes, or unicorn bottles needed. It’s a great benefit of these larger tanks.
We can’t really fault this atty, our scoring is more a reflection of how it is for Flavourchasing. It’s a monster in size and vapor production. If you find yourself balancing on the line between Cloudchaser and Flavourchaser you will go nuts for this atty. It’s definitely competition for the Geekvape Griffin 25 and the other 24-25mm tanks hitting the market. We now have a good idea who these bigger tanks are for, and it’s not us. The only non-subjective con is the price, it’s a little high. It seems that the companies in Asia are raising their prices, they better be careful, if they get to high, local goods will start to look more appealing again.
