The Aeolus is the current grand daddy of the top airflow control RDAs, and with good reason. A clean design, perfect Airflow Restriction, and Great Flavour make it an RDA worth checking out, and until now your only option was the Authentic.
The Rogue was one of the first popular top airflow RDAs. It’s simple and very clean design and build deck caught our interest. And as always we want to find out what the design differences between RDAs will do to the flavour.
The Cascata caught our eye the second it was announced, it has a unique design and a very clean look. We are always interested in trying new RDAs that take a new and different approach. That said, the fresh thinking and design deserve props but it doesn’t really deliver an outstanding vape.
The name may not be the best, but what the company is trying to do deserves a nod. Personally like the hexagonal outer design and looks great on a HexOhm. Where this RDA shines is with the innovative cyclonic airflow design, the flavour is really good, the spitback plate on the drip tip works well, but it does create a bit of a tickle on the back of your throat you may need to get used to.
We are always on the look out for innovative and different methods of airflow hitting the coil(the more direct and efficient the air to the coil, the better the flavour) in RDA designs. The Freakshow uses a bottom airflow method that leads to some killer flavour but with a couple trade-offs. It doesn’t hold a lot a juice, and can leak if over dripped. It has a very nice removable top cap lid that makes it easy to check your coils and see where you are dripping. The secret is to only drip in the centre, on top of the posts and keep it well below 10 drops. Make sure to build your coils hanging at least halfway over the airflow holes. Its a nice atty but for those of you who don’t like to mess your stuff up with e-juice, you may want to think twice on this one. We tend to rock this one with the AFC at least half way closed for the best flavour.
