The United Chaos is an underrated RDA, we haven’t seen a ton of buzz about it, to be honest we found it by seeing a review on YouTube. It looked promising and has some design thinking/features that are rather fresh and unique. It’s another atty that hits your coils with dual airflow, but the Chaos does it with a second airflow coming from the center post. Let’s get into it…
It’s a big atty, pretty tall and rather wide(25mm) and it looks like a cloudchasing rda. But it sure isn’t, once you pop the top cap you see where all the magic is. The deck is super unique, sitting high on top of a huge juice well. There are 4 airflow holes, two hit the coils directly and the other two are funnelled under the deck and up through the post that vent out at your coils through 4 inner airflow vents/holes (2/side). So a lot of the height is caused by these inner airflow channels, but think of this like a dual coil, dual airflow per coil deck like those found in the 0-Atty or NarDA. There are two alignment channels on both sides of the deck that fit a 2.5mm bit that help you get your coil into perfect placement so that your coils maximize the airflow. It really is some fresh design thinking that functions very well.
Like most dual airflow/coil attys the Flavour is very good and the vapor production is top notch. The size of the atty is just so weird, you would totally think it wouldn’t produce the flavour it does. The draw is a perfect restricted lung hit fully open, sure you can twist to close down the airflow but it isn’t needed and really doesn’t change the draw dramatically. The Chaos comes with a chuff and a 510 drip tip adapter, but we find that the chuff has great mouth feel and works perfectly (doesn’t effect flavour intensity at all). The vapor is dense and full flavoured. The O-ring resistances are prefect, there is a satisfying snap every time you pop on the top cap.
The deck is a joy to work with, United Machining have included some super cool custom allen keys that make building really easy. One of the keys is used for adjusting the inner airflow, there is a grub screw in the center of the center post that can close it off if you only want outer airflow. Building your coils is a simple enough procedure, place them to align with the alignment channels, secure them, and finally pull the finished coils down with you 2.5mm bit/screwdriver so they align with the airflow. These alignment channels really take the guess work out of getting the optimal performance out of the chaos.
The build we are rocking is a simple dual 25awg, 2.5mm, spaced, 6 wrap, coming in at 0.3-0.35 Ohms and we run it at 45-60W and get a great warm, flavourful vape. We are sure a clapton build would be great too, but we love the flavour we are getting so much out of our build that we haven’t tried anything else.
Juice capacity is crazy good, 25+ drops that last as long as many 2ml RTAs. It really makes up for the height of this atty. You get enough haul time that it almost makes it a dripper you can drive with.
For a limited time United Machining is including the original top cap that is a full aluminum with integral drip tip, it has a great look to it, but does heat up, so keep your builds a little higher on the Ohms so you don’t run crazy watts with it.
The United Chaos deserves more attention then it has received. Maybe it’s the aesthetic or the fact it’s from a less known company, but either way this is an awesome flavourchasing atty! It’s not cheap but not crazy expensive either. The build quality and fit & finish are very good and the flavour makes the value for your dollar pretty good. It’s a beefy atty with a great draw and mouth feel. In the black colorway on a black mod it’s a pretty evil looking combo. If you are looking for an atty that is unique and something not all your friends will have, then the Chaos is worth a look for sure. Nice atty United Machining!
