Eden Mods out of the UK has been producing high caliber attys for many years and each one has held a special place in many vapers hearts. Recently they have had a lot of acclaim for their Snap Dragon RDA, it’s a killer Flavourchaser. But the company is more widely known for their RTA series, the Rose. Well here is the third generation, take a look at the Rose 3.
There is something so clean and beautiful to the lines of this RTA. It looks like something Porsche Design would have churned out. There is simplicity and super fine fit and finish using only the best materials. We’ll be straight, this is an expensive tank. But if you are like us and constantly in the search for the best vape, then cost shouldn’t matter in this case. Everything has been throughly thought through, it has all the right dynamics, a conical chimney on a reduced vapor chamber, the silkiest airflow (and quiet), and a juice flow control that is married perfectly to a top fill system.
Flavour is as always paramount for us and this is the best vapes we have ever had in any atty (including rdas). To be honest we have had trouble vaping anything but this atty since we received it. The flavour notes are intense with a density to the vapor that comes off creamy and full. It’s engineering like this we have be searching for, and the good news is, it’s not crazy to build or look after.
Oh the airflow… OMG. Its silky and responsive, the AFC ring is super effective and has many options. There is genius here in the design. It looks so simple but is so effective. Basically it has a indent cut into the base with an air inlet drilled right through the center of the deck. So it’s bottom airflow but there is the outer AFC ring that controls how much airflow that is given to this inner inlet, and somehow through the geometry it makes it so smooth and very accurate. You can go from a perfect restricted lung hit to really satisfying MTL all with a simple and quick turn of the AFC. This is no BS, this is the best AFC we have ever vaped. You can take the same build and vape it either style (sure you may want to drop your watts a tiny bit for MTL), which just isn’t usually the case. There is some light controversy about how the AFC is secured, it is accomplished with a small piece of spring wire that locks into a groove between the AFC ring and the atty base. It’s different than an o-ring system and has a little bit of play, but it keeps the AFC setting every time. So yes if you yank at the AFC when you first receive it, you could lose the tiny piece of wire, but Eden with send you a new one and you could still vape while you wait. It’s new way, that doesn’t mean it bad, we as vapers need to be open minded, especially based on how fast this market moves. We hope Eden sticks to their guns and doesn’t revise this innovation.
We knew we had something special the moment it arrived. Sure there are a lot of pieces to this atty, but they all make pretty easy sense and disassembly and reassembly is pretty easy. Everything strips down to a core postless build deck. The previous versions of the rose were also postless but included ceramic catch cups and split wicking channels that made the build a real challenge. This is simply not the case with the Rose 3. Once you are down to the exposed build deck its a simple operation and the wick lead holes can accommodate a variety of coil types/thicknesses. So we set out to try more build types than we have ever tried for a review, everything from 28awg all the way to a fused clapton and for us the build that kills them all is ironically the one that Damian from a Bloody Good Vaping did in his review. A simple 2.5mm 24awg 5 wrap coming in at 0.4 Ohms and run at 35-40W is just spectacular!
Wicking is so simple. It’s almost unbelievable, simply pull a nice strip of cotton through you coil and place them in the wicking slots/channels and then trim them to the edge. An important step we have found is right after you prime your wick and coil, use a tool to push the wick back towards the deck center to make them flush with the chimney threads and most importantly push the bottom of the wick down a bit to fit inside the vapor chamber. For some reason this makes a big difference on you wicking and how open you will need your juice flow. We have our juice flow never more than 3mm open above the top cap. The juice flow system works perfectly and the included Teflon drip tip feels great in the mouth but also has two nibs that fit into the chimney barrel to insure their is no slippage when making flow adjustments.
Filling the Rose3 is simple to do, close down the juice flow, open the top cap and pour in your 4-5ml of juice (4ml with clear and 5ml with the stainless tank section). If you are OCD like us, use a needle nose or unicorn bottle to fill, keeping juice off the fill holes makes this operation much cleaner. The O-rings are beautiful, thick red rubber and the one on the bottom side of the top cap will push out excess juice, so the cleaner the better. You will notice when reopening the juice flow that a small bead of juice will seep out the seam and can be easily wiped away. We don’t see this as a con, more a marvel at just how dialled in the engineering is, this is the vacuum of the tank being reset, just awesome!
We only publish reviews for products we think are worth purchasing, so yeah most of our reviews have high marks. But we don’t want to waste your time or ours with negative reviews, if we haven’t covered it, we don’t think its worth owning or vaping. With that said, we don’t give perfect scores away easily. In the time we have been reviewing we have only given one other perfect score and that was to still one of our favs, the Vaponuate Le Magister. And with great excitement we give the Eden Mods Rose 3 RTA our second perfect score. If we had to choose only one atty to vape it would be the Rose 3, it’s that good. Save up, sell some of your other stuff, do what you have to in order to get one. This is our new gold standard.
Update: The Team over at Eden Mods has come up with a solution for those of you that may have concern with the AFC ring resistance. For the price of postage they will send you 4 pieces of thicker gauge spring wires that dramatically improve the resistance of the AFC ring once it is installed. So it will now be a lot harder to mistakenly remove the AFC ring while assembling and disassembling the atty. Got to hand it to them for reacting quickly to feedback and not only coming up with a solution but going out of their way to make it affordable and accessible. Nice!
Good review of a great atty, I concur with everything you said. Everyone needs to own one of these little engineering marvels. Keep up the good work.
Ray
Thanks Ray!
Thank you very much for taking the time to review our latest incarnation of the Rose.
We are blown away with your write up and your overall scores. 🙂

Wow. It’s not everyday that the modder comments on a review. So on top of creating a kickass atty you’re both super nice! You deserve every ounce of praise! We can’t put the Rose3 down, it has us thinking about sell off the rest of our atty collection, it’s that good. Can’t wait to see whats next!
Well next up is a lot more Rose3’s. We also have a few other ideas in the pipeline, can’t really divulge too much info yet 😉
Yeah.. you are going to busy with Rose3s. But we will keep our eye out for anything new from you guys! Congrats again.
eden mods, is coming out w/ a stubby rose 3 that holds 2 mils of juice..just can’t buy it here in the states..
10/10 !
The chimney looks a lot like the fev one ! I guess it’s like a mini fev 😉
It’s gonna be my next purchase for sure !
Hi Ryan,
How does the flavour of this tank compare to the Snapdragon in your opinion? I’ve just bought the Snapdragon and wondering if I should get this too? The price is quite stiff tho :-s
Thanks,
JD
Hi Ryan,
Just after you recommended ROSE3 for me I went to get it from Eden mods website and while I was checking out their website went down for 2 days and now it’s out of stock! It’s the only website I could find that ships to Kuwait. Looking forward for your next review.
Well, astonishing flavour is all I can say. The Vaponaute juices really shine on this (and hurrah for the 3ml at last)
Really excellent review as always – the tips on wicking are much appreciated. The only question you didn’t cover – and would value your opinion: In your testing, what was the optimal distance between airflow and bottom of coil? Thank guys.
Hey Nick,
Get the coil as close as you can to the airflow without shorting out. The closer the better.
Can you rewick or work on the deck without draining your juice? if so, how?
You can if you carefully remove the tank and chimney together with the tank no more than 3/4 full. You will need to hold the tank in hand so don’t push the chimney out and cause a leak. It’s not ideal but very possible.
I’ve done it few times as Ryan said. You have to be super careful not to keep the chamber tube attached to base when you it take off.
It isn’t anywhere near as complicated as people are leading to believe. Simply invest the atty, unscrew the chimney then unscrew the tank. No drama

very nice review, by the way, you put “Doesn’t leak” twice in the Pro’s LOL
i got this rta for 2 days and still haven’t find the best set up, Hurricane Jr performs better in my hand, i hope i got this one soon.
Thank you guys!
Glad you are digging the Rose 3. Play around with you wicking too, it makes a difference. Thanks for the catch on the pros too!
you’re very welcome.
i’m very glad i stumble at your great site
Every single hit taken from this incredible atty is simply a ticket to the flavour paradise. I definitely recommend 2.5mm 6-7 wraps 24ga ss316l / 32ga kanthal clapton on tfr or tcr mode.
Thank you very much
very good review ..
but I have Ploblem with coil base
that can not lock and center with wick channel
yes,. the coil base can not lock solid
(no spiral, just slip in the body tube)
it is easy to move form wig channel.(not center)
and then e juice will flood in the coil.
very problems.
but I know how to correct it.
However, I like the flavor of Moradin 25 and Moradin RTA(22 mm.)
Absolutely, BETTER .and no problems.
Hey Danson,
Sounds like you are missing an o-ring under the wicking channel ring.
Hi Ryan, I notice that this RTA use a plastic tank, maybe polycarbonate? How should I clean this kind of tank? I usually dip them in hot water for a few minutes then dry it. My question, is it dangerous for my health? I had been doing it a couple times and I noticed that the tank and driptip color look a bit different now. What do you think? Thanks.
Hey,
Hot water is just fine to clean the Rose3. The color change is most likely staining from different juices (nothing to worry about). It’s an awesome atty! Vape on!
hey ryan, just a quick one, looking to purchase in the future, just wondering if u still have the original 4ml tanks in stock as tpd is a stupid idea
