One of our friends that makes damn fine juice is moving into hardware. Mr. Alex Bowtie Beaucage of E-Apothecary has a tank coming very soon (Mid to end of this month). An RTA that has some of the best of the past while adding in a couple new design thoughts to keep things fresh and original.
At first glance it looks like a pretty beefy cloud chucker with a crazy big postless deck that can accommodate some crazy thick coils and/or low gauge wire. But there is more too this atty we have been told by Alex. We have seen some video and there is a very interesting wicking method that has the barrel section almost automatically set your wicks for you, if it works, this will be a big innovation for sure. On top of this there is some interesting fins cut into the roof of the chimney that interest us, we wonder how this will effect flavour. There are some fine details that can be missed, but there may just be a gem in this Churchill (love the name), another is the shape and position of the airflow inlet in the centre of the deck (interesting). And a whole bunch of polished Ultem never hurts.
The first run will be limited to 500 so join the Facebook and look for updates (we know Alex wants to launch and have units on hand for Toronto’s CVE, July 21).

This thing looks great. Let’s hope that the first version is the tried and true version and if not they don’t release the fixes as v2, v3 etc… like with the Sherman. I love my Sherman but they were not prepared for the market and made some bad decisions that I hope these guys will avoid.
I am sure the boys have thought it threw.. here is to hoping it’s great. We’ll find out this weekend!
