The LowPro Dripper has been making a lot of buzz for its innovative design and size. Don’t let its size fool you, this little puppy packs a serious punch!
LowPro seems to have come out of no where with a design like no other. There are other micro/nano RDAs out there (Lepton & Iti Rawa) but they aren’t nearly as innovative and can’t hold nearly enough juice to make them practical. The beauty in the design is the build deck, it’s just great new thinking that deserves a serious nod. This baby is a bit of a pain to build but she rewards you with some great flavour and performance.
Flavour is awesome, and it’s to be expected with such a small vapor chamber. The surprising thing is the vape temperature while deliciously warm isn’t as hot as you might expect. Vapor production is off the hook, again for its size (not Cloudchasing, but close). You almost need to smoke this one outdoors, it can fog up a room pretty quick!
Airflow is perfectly balanced, we found leaving it wide open works just fine for us. With it being so small adjusting the AFC doesn’t have a major effect on the already great flavour. It’s a nice draw, it’s pretty open, but has a nice restriction thanks to the down force created by the AFC design (points the air down towards the base of the juice well).
Building this little one is a bit of a challenge due to its size. It’s a great design, simple grab slots on each side that secure your wire leads. We found working with 24ga wire works best with the screw heads and slot size. Building to about 0.25-0.3 Ohms seem to be the sweet spot, we run it about 65-70W depending on the juice. The juice capacity is surprisingly large, 7-8 drops from a glass dripper or 10-12 from a unicorn bottle. Mind you the juice doesn’t last long, it’s an angry little atty, pushing out tons of vapor and hitting hard. Wicking this one needs a ton of patience, once you get you coils into place (get them as close to the airflow slots as you can and keep them below the top of the deck so they don’t rest against the base of the drip tip) you will need a good set of sharp curved tweezers (the UD Cotton Hook is a nice to have as well) to help you feed the wick through the coils, there isn’t a lot of clearance but it’s a tiny atty.
Build quality is very good, the stainless is flawless, the screws are solid, and the O-ring resistance is perfect. There is a little play on the positive centre post/block when tightening down your leads (The insulator is a little soft, causing the play), so take it easy and make sure everything looks good when you’re finished. The two included delrin drip tips work great and with your coils close to the airflow there is no spit back. Be careful not to over drip or you may get the odd hot drop of juice in your mouth. The white tip is shorter than the black tip, for us it looks a little too short, but if you need it to be white they have you covered. Actually they have done a great job of including all the spare parts you could need.
Overall this is an amazing atty, incredibly small with larger than life performance at an affordable price. There really are no cons, a couple nitpicky things really. This is a must own, get your hands on one as fast as you can. We hope to see this kind of innovation continue. This is going to be a hard one for LowPro to follow, congrats on the home-run right out of the gate! One last thing… It looks super dope on just about anything you put it on!
